![Who has not heard of the aswang?
The question is rhetorical.
Personally, I have always heard of scary stories growing up, especially whenever I go back to the Philippines. Little did we know - these myths that have scared us throughout decades.. they were also used by the CIA in the 1950s!
Swipe left to find out how the USA managed to fight (and win) against a guerrilla group by manipulating the masses through folklore! Before that, I never really fully understood the impact that these stories had (and still have) on Filipinos.
